Of course there are people who still listen to this kind of music, but they are mainly elderly people who lived the golden age of jazz or musicians who would like to learn from its rich history. Meanwhile, teenagers aren’t usually keen on this genre, unless their parents show it to them. This isn’t a surprise as jazz is not as lively and easy to dance as music nowadays. For the clothing style it happens the same; the outfits and, in general, the style of these days is way more relaxed and not as elegant as the way they dressed. Although, there might be some exceptions. Nobody, except if their job requires it, wears suits in their everyday life. Jazz musicians dressed with stylish clothes to show they were classy, professional and had a timeless sense of style. They wanted to appear sophisticated and refined.
